Introduction to the Khulafa-e-Rashideen

The Khulafa-e-Rashideen (Rightly Guided Caliphs) refers to the first four successors of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who led the Muslim Ummah according to the Quran and Sunnah. Their era (11-40 A.H.) is considered the golden period of Islamic governance and justice.

Classification: The Four Caliphs

  • Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A): 11-13 A.H. The 1st Caliph; focused on internal stability and Quran compilation.
  • Hazrat Umar Farooq (R.A): 13-23 A.H. The 2nd Caliph; known for justice and the vast expansion of the Islamic state.
