The Makkan Period spans the first 53 years of Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) life, including 13 years of Prophethood. This era is characterized by the first revelation, the early دعوت (preaching) of Islam, and the extreme patience shown by the Prophet (PBUH) and his Sahaba in the face of intense persecution.
